Pebblemorph

Privacy policy

Last updated: 1 November 2026

Pebblemorph converts files on your own computer. This page says what information leaves it, when, and to whom.

Who is responsible

Ludovico Rossi, Italy, is the data controller for Pebblemorph. Write to support@pebblemorph.com for anything about your data.

Your files

Every conversion happens on your computer. Pebblemorph never uploads your files or their contents, collects no usage statistics, has no account and shows no ads.

On your computer, in the .pebblemorph folder inside your home folder, it keeps your settings, the list of recent conversions (names and folders of the files, sizes and outcomes), a log for troubleshooting and the state of your trial or licence. None of this is sent anywhere. Deleting that folder deletes all of it.

When Pebblemorph goes online

Activating and checking your licence

When you enter a licence code, and about once a week afterwards, Pebblemorph contacts Lemon Squeezy, the store that sells it. It sends the licence code, an identifier of this activation and the name of your computer (for example "Marco's MacBook"), so that you can tell your computers apart when you free one. Lemon Squeezy tells Pebblemorph whether the licence is valid. During the free trial nothing is sent. Legal basis: providing the licence you bought (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).

Installing LibreOffice

Only when you press the button to install it, Pebblemorph downloads LibreOffice from the servers of The Document Foundation, which see your computer's internet address as with any download. Their privacy policy applies.

When you buy

Lemon Squeezy sells Pebblemorph as merchant of record: it processes your name, email address, billing country and payment details under its own privacy policy. From Lemon Squeezy I receive the details of your order (name, email address, country, product, licence) and use them only to provide the licence, answer your requests and meet tax and accounting obligations, for as long as those obligations require.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete your data, to limit its use, to receive it in a portable form, or object to its use, by writing to support@pebblemorph.com. You can also complain to the Italian data protection authority, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali, or to the authority of your own country.
